Kid Tested, Monkey Approved

I love seeing my books in the wild, so I was absolutely thrilled to see a giant stuffed monkey reviewing my book THE GIRL’S GUIDE TO CAMPFIRE ACTIVITIES. Apparently, she’s training for an overnight hike on the Appalachian Trail, and decided to show the kids she lives with some of the tricks she learned while reading my book.

3-D Is the New Black

Avatar may not have won the Academy Award for Best Picture, but it definitely proved that people love 3-D effects. Now you can create your own 3-D doodles and amaze your friends with my new book, 3-D Doodle Book & Kit.
I had so much fun creating this book with Ali Freile, one of my favorite designers, and Sherry Berger, the amazing illustrator who brought our ideas to life—it was definitely a collaborative effort! Ali used to live here in Philly, but moved to Australia a few years ago, so we spent HOURS brainstorming ideas for the book and figuring out how to make the 3-D effects as cool as possible via iChat videoconferencing.
