I’m currently working on writing a follow-up to one of my recent non-fiction books. I had the original book on our bed so I could reference it, and Dorsey Dog decided to do a little light reading. (I swear I didn’t set this pose up—he was just sitting like this and I had to grab my camera.)

I love seeing my books in the wild, so I was absolutely thrilled to see a giant stuffed monkey reviewing my book THE GIRL’S GUIDE TO CAMPFIRE ACTIVITIES. Apparently, she’s training for an overnight hike on the Appalachian Trail, and decided to show the kids she lives with some of the tricks she learned while reading my book.

Until I read her blog post at Kids in the Valley, Adventuring!, I’d never realized how perfect my book was for families with monkeys. Read the rest of this entry »
